How do I access my Dedicated Server via SSH?

This article will explain how you can use the Putty SSH client to access your Linux dedicated server.

To Access Your Dedicated Server using the Putty SSH Client:

Open Putty and enter your Hostname or IP Address in the Hostname or IP Address field. The default port will be 22.

Click on the Open button to open the command line window.

In the command line window type in the SSH username at the login as prompt and press enter on your keyboard.

Commonly the username for a dedicated server would be root.

In the command line window type in the SSH password at the login as prompt and press enter on your keyboard.

You should now be logged into your dedicated server using SSH access.
