This article explains how to modify the friendly name value of your server in order to make it more recognisable in your list of servers.
This article applies to Dedicated Servers.
Each server on our network is given a unique number, we use this number to identify your server. You may assign each server a more memorable alphanumeric name. This name will be used to identify the server throughout this control panel, in correspondence and in billing related documents.

Login to your Donhost control panel.

Click Servers from the navigation bar.

Locate the Friendly Name section on the resulting page and enter the preferred text name for the server corresponding to the displayed server number.

Click Update Friendly Name to modify the preferred name of the server.
Please note: We ask that wherever possible you include the server number when contacting us for technical support, however in the event that you do not include or cannot provide the number this name will make it easier for us to identify the server to which you are referring.
